Predictive Maintenance

The subject of predictive maintenance has reached such pervasive levels that it cannot be ignored by company management. It is a process in which the manager must be involved first and then the structure of the collaborators, each according to the level of responsibility and competence.

Due to the importance of this strategic issue, Digitarab Solution Consulting was among the first in the Marche to work on this technological approach. In fact, our company has entered in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Marche in a research project on Industry 4.0 technologies, specifically maintenance predictive .

This research aims to exploit the methodologies of this technology, together with the enabling technologies of Data Science (Machine / Deep Learning) , to create a predictive model capable of estimating the time of a future failure of a any machine / plant and to identify problems in the complex of machinery, identifying the component of the machine that must be repaired.

This model will be usable and configured in any type of existing plant, especially in sophisticated energy systems to reduce consumption, increase revenues and consequently respect the environment.

Why did we choose the search for predictive maintenance ?

Is simple! Predictive maintenance , in addition to being a very advanced technological approach, has also become strategic, due to its close connection with: worker safety, management costs, the environment and the green energy.

Advantages?

The predictive maintenance approach offers many benefits to machine builders and end users. These advantages are manifested in the first place by improving the safety levels of processes in the workplace because it is possible to anticipate failures, which can be extremely dangerous when they occur.

Secondly, thanks to its models, the inactivity time of the control process is reduced and therefore a saving in labor costs and the recovery of lost time, compared to a traditional breakdown, avoiding downtime.

To conclude, predictive maintenance, in a nutshell, helps to track the operation of machinery, ensuring a longer and consequently more efficient useful life and less risk.
